Angry Birds is a puzzle video game, players use a slingshot to launch birds at pigs stationed on or within various structures, with the intent of destroying all the pigs on the playing field.
The birds get revenge on the pigs for stealing their eggs!
Here is our culinary version - everything was homemade except the chocolate wafers. This was the first time Chris and I worked with homemade marshmallow fondant (made into all the pigs, birds, slingshot, eggs, and nest).

Chris and I were worried the that the kids would not know what type of cake we made. But our fears were alleviated once the class came into the room and they all screamed, "Angry Birds - awesome!".
And the best part - it was playable! "Ready 3-2-1, fire the slingshots!"
You should have heard the excitement when Jayden sling-shot the birds, took down the pigs, and destroyed the cake (which was super tasty!).
Angry Birds = Happy Jayden!
(and a happy Jayden makes for happy hearts of mama and baba)
